Donations from the USA and Canada
Donations to FERC, made in the USA or Canada through our affiliative agreement with Give2Asia, are tax deductible. We have an explanation of how to donate and a donation form in this donation document from Give2Asia.
Direct Donations
FERC enjoys a reputation as a dependable organization, where donations are spent in full for the purposes for which they were intended. We follow all recommended auditing requirements both in the United States and Thailand. This must be one of the reasons why many people inside and outside Thailand regularly send donations to our bank-account.

Yearly Benefit Gala
FERC’s main income is derived from fund raising activities in Thailand, the United States and the Netherlands. Our primary event in Thailand is the FERC Gala, an evening of fine food and drink, a variety of quality entertainment, a silent auction of high quality donated items and gift certificates, and a raffle. In 2008, the tenth time this event was organized, 427,000 Baht was raised through ticket sales, raffles, the silent auction and individual donations. A USA-Thailand trip was completed in October 2008.
Companies in Chiang Mai and outside annually donate beautiful raffle and auction items, ranging from international travel, tours and hotel accommodations to spa treatments, jade carvings and jewelry and interior design items. Private individuals often prefer to contribute in cash. See Projects 2008.
In April 2007, the profits from this year were presented to five organizations that had been selected by the board through published requests for proposals (see Projects 2007).
