Steve Deering, FERC Representative to North America, organized a cocktail party to introduce FERC to Marin County colleagues in 2007. Friends gathered at a beautiful seafood restaurant with windows overlooking sailboats and some of northern California's spectacular scenery. The California team had organized a small silent auction of Thai-made products, and the FERC representatives had the opportunity to talk about the products and the donors to the silent auction. Guests enjoyed fine California wines and seafood while Steve and FERC Board Members, Frank Weicks and Becky Lomax, presented the foundation, its history and projects. Steve's team continues to plan events to benefit FERC, including a jewelry show of handmade jewelry with stones and silver from Thailand, to take place in the fall of 2008. Also, a USA-Thailand trip is planned for October 2008.
